Offshore Sr. Project Planner (Deepwater GOM)

We are immediately seeking a Sr. Project Planner for a long-term opportunity in The Woodlands. This position will work a 9/80 schedule and will be required to be on-site in The Woodlands on Tue-Wed-Thu and working remotely on Mon and scheduled work Fri. (long-term, no per diem)
The Offshore Sr. Project Planner will support the planning and execution of major projects and turnarounds/shut-ins for the facilities engineering and contsruction and operations teams in deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
He/She Will:
• Work directly with Shut-In Coordinators, the Facilities-Engineering-Construction Team, and Operations stakeholders to define and plan Turnarounds/ Shut-ins and Major Projects for assigned Assets.
• Provide planning/scheduling support by using work packs/plans and drawings to communicate with the project/ shut-in team and contractors to develop detailed schedules and progress reporting for Turnarounds/ Shut-Ins.
• Provide planning/scheduling support to project teams by developing detailed schedules for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/ Hook-up, and Commissioning projects. Validation of contractor plans and schedules to ensure the activities are integrated in the overall project schedule and establish the progress measurements and metrics that are required for reporting.
• Development of detailed turnaround, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning plans/schedules
• Supports safe and timely delivery of offshore projects within established schedule guidelines
• Supports the preparation of accurate schedule estimates as needed to sanction the project with all required stakeholders
• Validation of contractor plans and schedules to ensure the activities are integrated in the overall project schedule
• Establish the progress measurements and metrics that are required for reporting
• Supports project schedule risk analysis and modeling
• Demonstrates ability to integrate and coordinate work within discipline and across collaborative work teams
• Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives and development opportunities for planning and scheduling

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Planning/Scheduling, offshore experience required
• Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6, Milestones Professional, and Primavera Risk Analysis and/or Acumen Risk Analysis
• Expert-level proficiency in preparation of detailed turnaround, construction, installation, hook-up, and commissioning schedules
• Ability to review and understand Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning documentation and packages
• Strong team player with problem solving capabilities and the ability to manage a broad spectrum of business activities under stressful conditions
• Effective communication skills – listening, verbal and written
• Responsible and accountable for working to high performance standards
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or Construction preferred, or equivalent experience
